Radio Drama Revived in Maine

On the airwaves and in podcast! Frederick Greenhalgh brings modern audio cinema to your ears every Thursday afternoon. He also brings you interviews with the fabulous producers of this art that truly is never going to die off (and thank goodness for that!).

Currently Frederick is looking for content- and he wants YOUR work. Usually his format is the featured production, then an interview with the producer, writer, director or other person(s) best acquainted with the behind the scenes. It's a great way to get your work showcased and out there for all ears to hear.

You can get all the information you need at the link! His blog is also a great one to stick on your reading list too, very enjoyable!

JC Hutchins is in every podcast you listen to

I try not to bring up my own podcast too often, but this time I have good reason to mention it. JC Hutchins, the author of the insanely crazy-popular podcast novel 7th Son has been out there interviewing for the highly anticipated release of the final book of the trilogy.

His goal? An interview in every state. Did he do it? Somehow I think he did, most likely covering a few states twice. I'm also very sure he crossed a border too! I definitely jumped on that bandwagon, but I wanted to take a little different view of the book. I added a political spin on top of your usual interviewing fodder. ;-)

So check your podcatchers, and head over to the link and learn a little about the politics of this amazing book. If you still haven't begun listening to 7th Son, well, shame on you! Go over now and catch up on the first two books! There is still plenty of time before Book Three debuts.

Even the Society Loves Dick Dynamo!

I had to do a double take when I came over to post about this week's Sonic Society. Did I post all ready, then hit my head? Noooo! But my favorite foreign correspondent has made an appearance! About nearly the same thing I was going to post about!

This week's episode also sports the awesome stylings of Dynamo, as well as an interview with the whole gang who give the show life.

Also episode 7 of ROTC rounds out the episode. It's a good one! See if you can recognize the announcer at the beginning, and 2/3 of the soap opera love triangle later on! ;-)

Technology and Audio Drama

It's been awhile since I've talked about my favorite (never mind he's the only) foreign correspondent here on the addict blog, and for that I totally suck. But when I saw that a new podcast recently interviewed Gregg Taylor of Decoder Ring Theatre for their tech show, I had to make sure everyone knew about it!

Gregg discusses how he started out in audio drama, and also talks about what he thinks about broadcast media as a whole.
It's a very good interview... and you can't miss just how much he loves radio drama and old time radio!
How very well spoken you are Red Panda! ;-)

If you are feeling like you need a new outlet in which to explore your geekiness, try Technology and the Arts out for size.

With the initials T&A, how can you not want to go and see what it's about?
