Been to the Stargate Cafe lately?

Season two of the award winning sit-com is well underway, and it's off to a great start! Crashes are stopped, core overloads are averted, and dates are denied.

If you've never heard anything from Wesley and the gang before- well head on over to Planet Retcon's site and see all the great things there! In-between the Stargate Cafe episodes, they have a new show, Log of the Crimson Lien, which I haven't heard yet but will have to go back and catch up. But my fave is definitely Stargate. It's Cheers in space!

Extrudingly Pleasant

Take a moment and check out the banter between Gerard Armbruster, and the author he discovered quite by accident in a bookstore one day, Stetson Tudd. Gerard's mission:

"Every week I, Gerard Armbruster, ask you to take a wrong turn with me off life's interstate, and discover the straight story about the bend in the road, where nestle the small towns with big characters, to tug on the common thread that unravels the hand-me-down sweater of our national zeitgeist, and extrudes the truth of our lives."

It has a dry humor that is actually rather refreshing, and you'll either give a good laugh or shake your head while smiling. Neat show!

The Language of Emus

One of the great things about technology today and podcasting is it can bring you together with friends. Even if those friends are scattered throughout the country.

Some even form a podcast from this miraculous advancement, like the gang at The Mep Report. From their website:

"The Mep Report is the world's only transcontinental conversational podcast. Bringing three old friends together from the far corners of the US, it harnesses the rampaging wit of these champion debaters to bridge the gap between politics, movies, sports, 80s cartoons and overweight birds. It is, by far, the funniest emu-centric radio show on the Internet. Really.

The Mep Report is composed of three young men who came together through the Brandeis University debate team. Now graduated and thrown to the winds, they find themselves in Berkeley, Brooklyn, and Beverly Hills. They come together via the internet on Wednesdays. Special guests may also appear."

I checked out their latest episode, and listened to their highlight about George Bush and Stem Cell research- oh that was pretty funny- and borderline wrong! (which is probably why I loved it- I'm so NOT into political correctness).

Head to the link and give them a listen yourself!
